CONGRATSSS!! And Next Steps :)

Hi again Climate Change-Makers,

YOU DID IT!! To the many of you (25+ teams) that submitted, CONGRATS!

It was a challenging & tough journey. With long nights, lots to do and likely more than a few roller coaster moments, we know this past weekend was not easy. Yet, for many, you got that submission in. You learned (we hope) from our mentors & workshops. You met some cool peers . Perhaps, you even developed a skill that was important. Or got to work on an idea that was meaningful to you. Any of that true?

If so, am excited to share that, at least in our books, YOU ARE A WINNER. Someone who took the risk on a new experience and gained. Prize in the future or not, we do hope you folks had fun & felt that this was worth it. Seeing all you inspiring people work definitely did make it that for our team.

But in any case, wasn't there' a big prize coming soon? Of course & here's our NEXT STEPS:

1-THANK YOU firslty for getting your project in. Take some time to rest & BREATHE. Y'all rock!

2- BONUS POINTS FORM + FEEDBACK: We'll let folks take it slow for today & share the bonus points forms by MAY 15,  so y'all better be SAVING UP 'EM CODES. Feedback is also part of the form.

3- JUDGING: Our next immediate step is to do some further eligibility checks, and will then engage our set of 15+ very accomplished judges to check projects, all from various backgrounds

4- FINALIST ANNOUNCEMENTS & PREP: After this, and likely in the MAY 22-23 range, we will formally announce finalists, with us then working with teams to share feedback, encourage iteration & get them prepped for our grand finals at the end of May (more info on this below).

5- GRAND FINALS: From here, we have our grand finals, which is slated to run on MAY 26TH @ 10 AM EDT (likely, exact logistics may change), which will be both completely LIVE & also a public event (meaning ALL of you who registered can come, regardless of whether you make the finals or not).

6- THE REAL WORK BEGINS: But of course, the real work here will not end. Some of you may continue to build your projects and guide them towards launch. Others will look for funding (e.g. our YIC summer competition for any of you Canadians). Others will take different learnings & apply them to innovations beyond. Or use new networks to do new things. And just keep change-making, each in different ways.

So this will be an ongoing on journey & this really is just step 1... As some of our team shared more in our Slack (FYI that the link for that is here, please feel free to still join), you folks are an inspiring bunch & feel genuinely blessed to be part of such a dedicated, innovative & kind community ready to act on the biggest existential issue of our time. YOU FOLKS REALLY ARE ALL AMAZING!!

Do reach out if you ever need, stay tuned for more deets on the above).

Good night (at least you NA peeps & maybe our Oceania crew as well), sleep tigtht & can't say enough about meeting such incredible allies in this climate fight. Hope to see y'all soon enough :)

With many thanks & kind regards,

Our Collective CCM Team
